UCSD North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood

UCSD North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood (NTPLLN)

UC San Diego has embarked upon a new approach to campus lifestyle and learning.  UCSD’s North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood (NTPLLN) reimagines how students and faculty will function within a modern campus community.

The new facility will add 2,000 undergraduate beds to accommodate a growing student population. The campus will include a new home for a sixth college, the Arts and Humanities Building, the Social Sciences Public Engagement Building, the Craft Center, and opportunities for recreation, dining, and more.

NTPLLN, slated to be the largest living and learning community within the University of California system, is due to open in Fall 2020. NTPLLN is targeting LEED Platinum certification for the entire project, which includes photovoltaic arrays powering the net-zero parking structure and an anaerobic digester that processes food waste into electricity and fertilizer.
